Perhaps you have a great voice and you would like to record yourself singing, or perhaps you heard a nice song while listening to online radio and you want to record that song. Regardless of the situation, the FairStars Recorder application is a real-time audio recorder that will help you out. What this application does is record sound in real-time from your soundcard. If you can hear it on your computer, you can record it with FairStars Recorder.

Those of you who don’t like to waste time will be glad to find out that the FairStars Recorder download is of only 2.8MB, so that it won’t take long to complete. The installation process goes along smoothly and rapidly as well, which means it will take little time to complete.

Seemingly aware of your desire to not waste time, FairStars Recorder wants to go to work immediately as you launch it. If there’s sound playing on your computer, you will see that FairStars Recorder detects this and displays it in its minimalistic interface (there are several skins you can use to change the look of the interface). The large Record Wizard button invites you to click it and go through a simple setup process to start your recording. You can record directly from your sound card, meaning that you can record the sound from music or videos playing on your computer, the sound from streaming music or videos, and sound from the microphone or line-in. The recordings are saved as WMA, MP3, OGG, APE, FLAC, or WAV, without the need for temporary files.

With FairStars Recorder you can do things manually or automatically. In other words, you can manually start a recording or you can schedule one to take place automatically. The thing you need to know though is that the trial version comes with a 2 minutes recording time limitation. To get rid of this limitation you need to purchase a license.

FairStars Recorder does a great job of recording sound from your soundboard in real-time.
